Calvary Christian School offers elective classes or student clubs such as: keyboarding, personal finance, drama, art, chess, Bible quiz team, and sign language. After-school clubs run in the fall and the spring. Each club meets once a week for 10 weeks. 2021 was the first year implementing elementary after-school clubs and have proven to be a huge success as all clubs have had great participation.

Educational trips are scheduled regularly throughout the year.

CCS participates in the Pizza Hut Book It program. Students are encouraged to read the determined minutes per month to achieve their goal. If the reading goal is met, students are awarded with the Pizza Hut Book It Certificate in which they can get a personal pizza from Pizza Hut.

CCS kindergarten through 2nd grade participate in the Victory Drill Reading Program which works in addition to our Abeka reading program to enhance reading fluency. Parent volunteers are a huge part of the success of this program in each class.

CCS participates in the CBAL (California Baptist Athletic League) which provides an adequate athletic program for the size of our junior high and high school. This league provides Varsity Flag Football, Junior Varsity and Varsity Boys' Basketball, Girls' Varsity Basketball, and Girls' Varsity Volleyball. Each athletic season includes a year-end tournament in which athletes compete. Athletes are awarded for their season and tournament accomplishments at these tournaments.

We are a member of the Golden State Association of Christian Schools (GSACS), a division of the American association of Christian Schools (AACS). Our students also benefit from this association by having access to yearly academic and fine arts competitions. The fine arts competition is ever expanding and more comprehensive than its name implies. In addition to art, sculpture, photography, woodworking, music, drama, and graphic design, which one might expect in a fine arts competition, other disciplines are also represented. Bible teaching and preaching, Bible quiz team and various science disciplines, among others, have competitions as well.
